Bayburt is located in the North East Anatolia region and it is a kind of bridge between the Black Sea and Anatolia. Bayburt is also on the silk road which is another important point about it. You can see this city just near the Çoruh River. History of Bayburt goes to the year 3000 B. C. Climate of the city is continental because it is between the air
circulation of the East Black Sea and East Anatolia. That is why summers are hot and dry, winters are cold and rainy in Bayburt. According to the data of 2020 the population of Bayburt is 85.762. Survey of it is 3741km2 and the plate code is 69.
