Group Green Harmony is a "youth movement" created for the protection of nature. It consists of young people,
most of whom are university students in Kocaeli. They met each other during a seminar about industrial waste at Kocaeli University. In these meetings, they realized that, as young people, they could carry out new and international studies on protecting Kocaeli and its environment and reducing waste.
Their biggest goal right now is to raise awareness about industrial and domestic waste and to accelerate and develop recycling-related activities in our city. We determined our motto as "Green World, A Better Future" and we continue to work with determination.
Funding
This course is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ framework.
We are deeply grateful for this and we thank the Greek National agency for their great support and their work.
About the venue
This project will be held in Kocaeli, Türkiye's largest industrial city. The people of
Kocaeli have been exposed to large amounts of waste as a result of living in an industrial city for many years and their
sensitivity to waste has decreased in this sense. As we want the impact of our project to be stronger in the regional sense, we will convey our upcycling project, which we think will be beneficial to make it a habit to adopt the sustainable zero waste idea in our homes, with local broadcasters.
