Having graduated with a Bachelor's degree in sociology in Germany, Sheila has been dedicated to creating structures that are actively contributing to the regeneration of all the systems -human and more-than-human- they are part of. Together with her cousin, Panos Darmos, she created The Southern Lights. Convinced that a cultural shift is necessary in business and the economy, she has helped apply living systems in her own family company, Silver Leaf, producing regeneratively sourced food. Sheila has experience working in several non-profit organizations concerned with animal rights, child labour, social enterprises and fair trade. The areas of her work in The Southern Lights are as diverse as the systems she seeks to create, spanning from group facilitation to project management, communication, design and gardening. She can be found constantly visiting and helping other eco-projects to learn, connect, observe and study. Seeking to animate synergistic relationships among eco-projects around Greece and beyond she co-initiated the REGEN network in 2019.
